January - always a good month

I've always liked January. I enjoy putting my Christmas decorations away as much as I like getting them out, I love resolutions and new beginning, and it's my Birthday month and I do love cake.

We went sledding New Years Day at the middle school track and then tried to go up the mountain but the kids didn't love getting up the hill. The baby was so bundled up he hated it and chose to play in the car instead.

Kimball is quiet the little chef and actually pretty good at helping. Sure he flicks things every where, eats too much of the uncooked concoctions, and throws my spoons off the counter top but I really do think he wants and tries to be helpful. He also sticks his tongue out all of the time. It's so funny. Really, all of the time!

Henry hit one of the hammy/fake smile/cheese stages and it pretty cute as a mother even though all my pictures of him look like this.

Thomas and the kids made my Birthday cake this year from a box that Lucy sent in the mail. The made the cake in the morning and then worked hard to decorate it. They made a butterfly, clouds, and a sun on it but of course I didn't take a picture before we were eating!

The cutest baby ever... he was in a funny mood and was leaning back while Thomas was holding him with his hands behind his head. And that tongue out again.

Biggest icicle in the world off the back of our house.

Dirty, dirty Thomas who makes my house look the same way. I'm going to miss Monroe when we move but I will not miss remodeling and the headache and mess it makes.

Speaking of messes, the boys dumped a whole container of oatmeal out and then ice skated through it while I was in the shower. Lesson learned... I'll never shower while they are awake again.

Macey wanted to take some pictures even though that baby wasn't in to it.

We got a gigantic GeoTrax set off of Ebay for the kids for Christmas (we went in on it with Lucy) and it is amazing. After looking on the internet to figure out how the tracks are supposed to go together I saw the prices. I got around $1000 worth of GeoTrax for $175 which included the shipping. SCORE.

The kids are so fun when they just adore each other. After a bath Macey got a blanket and books to read to her baby and he loved every minute of it. I just love when they get along.
Hmmm. That's a pretty good start to a new year if you ask me!
