Confession: Thomas and I have lived in Provo for over 5 years and never been to J-Dawgs... that all changed Saturday. It's probably a good thing we haven't gone until now. It's an addiction waiting to happen.
For those of you who aren't Provoites. J-Dawgs is a famous hot dog stand that was started by a BYU drop out. Rumor has it, he made over $100,000 his first year. He's been in business awhile now (over 5 years...) and has upgraded to a little indoor restaurant.
This picture is of the famous stand (red) and his new place is just right across the parking lot (behind the red car).
You can get a beef dog, a polish dog, chips, and/or a pop. Really. That is all they sell. How do you become rich off of selling hot dogs? Well 1) you have a "special sauce" for said dog (which as rumor also has it, is made at the owner's granny's house) and 2) you charge $3.00 a dog. I'll be the first to say it was the best dog I've ever had. That special sauce with all the fixens. Heaven!
Props to Mr. J-Dawg man; making a fortune is no small feat. I hope to join him one day in that tax bracket.
