Macey had a fun (and tantrum) filled week of being drug all over to celebrate with family... she loved the pool and ate like a champ after swimming. She ate 2 chicken legs and a wing one night for dinner. Grandma is such a good cook!

You'll notice a little ghost across all of the picture... I was so disappointed when I learned there was a huge smudge on the lens and all of the graduation pictures look like this! Good thing grandpa is a picture taker too! Thanks for a great week, Gp,we love you!

Part Uno

Graduation is here! We've (yes, we...) have looked forward to this for a long time! Grandma and Grandpa J are celebrating this event with us. They are staying for a week at a resort in Park City! We've made it up multiple times this week to go swimming in very heated pool!

Today was the gigantic commencement in the Marriott Center. I should have left Macey at home, but she was happy to see her dad when it was over...
She would not, could not, be convinced to wear the hat.

Hoppy Easter

It's been a busy crazy week! I had 9 cavities filled and a root canal done on Monday and Tuesday (I swear I brush my teeth! I hadn't been to the dentist in 4 years... no insurance. It would have been cheaper to go to my check ups :) Lesson learned). Macey still has a double ear infection which entails visiting the Dr. office every 2 days. Why they don't go away I will never know. And a good friend was sick so we watched her little boys overnight on Wednesday! Needless to say, I took a nap this afternoon.

Weeks like this make me emotional and very grateful. In short I am grateful for my God and faith, my husband, and the choices that I am making at the moment in my life. Easter is such a beautiful holiday. I hope that you all sat down for a minute, chocolate in hand, and thought about the Resurrection. It's a big deal. Take a minute to think about it.

Our fun weekend! 4 years ago, while I was single at BYU, a coworker and I became quick friends. I spent Easter with her family at their grandma's that year. We were invited again this year and they spoiled Macey by including her in their family egg hunt. She was in heaven... She was quickly distracted by a bike though. Here is where she and Thomas spent the rest of the evening!
Thomas brought home this hand picked bouquet for me. He won't tell me where he got them, but he said that he got permission to pick them all... what a cute guy. They make my kitchen smell delicious. Nearly edible.

Baby shower cupcakes! I thought they turned out cute. I need a bigger platter/stand though.

Things are going great here. Thomas' last undergraduate classes are on Tuesday and graduation is NEXT week! I can't believe it! This life is all we've ever know. My Grandpa and Grandma Jenkins are flying out to celebrate with us. We can't wait!

Dr. Drama and Conference

Macey is a kid who has perpetual boogers and coughs. We never seem to be 100% healthy- we have just gotten used to it! I don't take her to the Dr. very often because they never seem to do much besides say "and this too shall pass". Yesterday Macey had it rough day with a fever and barky cough.

To help us listen to General Conference and still play with Macey, Thomas built a huge tent in the front room!

To make the day even better Sarah whipped up her famous banana bread. Thomas was really enjoying it...
Back to the ill baby - She had croup last fall so I was a little worried and she kept telling me her ears where "hot"... This morning we paid a visit to the BYU health center. Double ear infection.... yup. Both ears. Macey isn't one to take medicine as previously discussed... how am I supposed to give her meds twice a day for 10 days?

The nurse came in to give her some oral steroids to open up her throat so she could breath better. Of course Macey hated it! She was gagging and crying so much that she threw up all over me and herself. I didn't bring extra clothes - she isn't a baby anymore... I don't have extra clothes on me.

After all of the commotion the Dr. decided to give her antibiotics via a nasty little shot to the leg. Painful, yes, easier than me giving her medicine everyday, yes. She also mentioned that they make children's Motrin (to help get her fever down, help with pain...) in CHEWABLE FORM! How did I not know this? We bought some at the health center and she enjoyed her 3/4 of a tablet in the car...

Being thrown up on and getting weird looks as I carried a naked baby through the health center weren't so fun. But I have to remember that I am grateful for chewable things, shots, doctors for sick babies, and a baby who can tell me when she doesn't feel good. The blessings out weigh the negative.
