Mace-face turned the big 0-6 a few weeks ago and I just can't believe how big and helpful she is. Why, once you get them to like you, help you, and not be so crazy do they have to go off to school?! She starts kindergarten in a week and a half and I'm still dying inside.
Her birthday was a lot of fun. She wanted eggs, bacon, and toast for breakfast and she was in charge of the toast. She's pretty much a ninja at using the toaster, buttering, and adding the jam and it's fun that she loves to do it.
Here she is whipping up breakfast for us.
AND she wanted to make her own cupcakes. She was so careful and precise and did a great job. Baby was an excellent taste tester too.
We celebrated her birthday for about a week! The Friday before we went out to dinner and saw Despicable Me 2 in the theater (all this was a HUGE treat and we loved it), we have dinner and cake and ice cream with family on Sunday, and then on her actual Birthday she had a cupcake friend party.
The little ladies (plus Henry) painted paper mache cupcake shaped boxes and then they got to decorate their own cupcake. What is it with kids and those piping bags? They LOVE them.
And because everyone loves a candle...
When baby woke up from his name he too decorated a cupcake. Ok, he went straight for the kill really. He's my kid...
This past weekend we went up to "Grassy" to have a cookout and take the kids out on the canoe. It was absolutely beautiful!
And the garden is growing, growing, growing. We are so enjoying all the delicious fruits and veggies, canning a ton, and wishing summer wasn't ending so soon!
