Sevier County Fair

We headed over to the fair grounds to check out the fair last Friday.  Growing up in Indiana has certainly ruined me when it comes to fairs... Utah's just aren't anywhere close to the same.  That being said, we picked the wrong day to go which didn't help anything.  The fair ran Wednesday thru Saturday so I thought Friday would be a great day to do -nope!  All of the animals had already been taken home!  What is up with that.  We did get to see 3 chickens and a pig, but it wasn't what I was expecting.  We'll go Wednesday next year.

I also had to go to check out how my entries went!  A friend dropped off a Hippo, canned applesauce, grape juice, and salsa for me.  All 4 got blue ribbons!  Saweeet!  In Utah you get PAID for entering and winning, so I made a whopping $12 for entering 4 things; not too shabby.

This was the most amazing hand-stitched quilt.  It has SO much detail and was gorgeous.

And no fair is complete without a little funnel cake!  Thomas was in food heaven.

One of the reasons we don't show the goats at the Utah State Fair is that we have to live there for 3 days--makes it kinda hard to milk the goats that are still at home. We show at the UT and Weber County Fairs because it's a one day thing. Come in the morning, show the goats, go home in the evening.

It is nice that Matt wins a little cash, though :) Glad to see you won $12! Did that cover the cost of Thomas' funnel cake?!

Sorry you have to move again :(
